Lord we Praise You!
When was the last time you busted out your Steven Curtis Chapman "Heaven in the real World" cd? Well, thanks to the invention of MP3's, I have all SCC's cds on one disc in my car. This morning while driving through Weatherford praying, the words from the song "treasure of you" popped in my head. I thought "oh yeah! i love that song!" so I put in the disc. It was one of those "great" times in the car, I listened to SCC all the way to work, crying and praising our God! At times smiling so huge my eyes were but little slits. Crying, crying, crying! Not from sadness, but PURE JOY, the kind of joy that comes only from knowing that I am saved and I have hope! I am so thankful to God for SO many things. Jesus coming to die for us. Music to praise Him with. The simple fact that I got to wake up today! I was crying and dancing in the car...don't recall which song, but I had the image in my head that there were angels in the car with me with their hands raised with me.
"you are a treasure, worth more than anything under the sun or the moon. God's greatest treasure, the treasure of you."
"let us pray, everywhere in every way, every moment of the day it is the right time!" (can you say LJS bathroom?)
"He is the hope, He is the peace, that will make this life complete. For every man, woman, boy, and girl, looking for Heaven in the real world."

Wednesday, July 18, 2007
Just wanted to update (*quickly!) folks on some things!
1. had our first "shower" last Sat. I have some pictures from it...to be shared later!
2. flowers for the wedding have been chosen and purchased! may not be "big news" but it's one more thing off my list that is on continuous playback in my brain.
3. have a "practice" for my wedding hair and makeup on the 24th of July with Stevie!
4. we start our pre-marital counseling this Saturday, July 21st! we are meeting with Pastor D.L. Moody of Pleasantview Baptist Church.
I guess that's about all for now. I would love to post pictures however I don't have anything "new" at the moment. Thank you again to all my friends and family (I love you!) for the help, encouragement, and prayers through all that's going on!
A BIG Thanks to my Mom, Carl, and Shilah, for putting my "family" shower together....decorating and hosting!

Ya'll are gonna think I'm crazy!
How the heck are you supposed to move the words around on this thing? I'm so not good at this! I guess you have to load pics first, then put your words where you want them? so, basically, the last paragraph on this blog should be UP HERE! BEFORE THE RANDOM PICTURES! :O)
Here's my groom-to-be at work. He's runnin' this show!
Here's me and Katherine at Pat Green concert December 2006. Aren't we cute? :O)
yes folks, it's 6:25 am. I am at the office. My second home! :O) Why you ask? well, so I can play on the computer, of course! I love pictures and I wanted to post some more on my blog. Since I woke at 4 am (wide-awake!), I decided since I had to work today ANYWAY that I would beat traffic and just come play for a while. Now I'd like to share some totally random pictures with you.

I hope everyone enjoyed their middle of the week 4th of July celebration! We ate dinner with our neighbors and I got to play with the 7 month old son of Michelle's friend, Julie. His name is Jack...what a cutie! Children make me very happy. I look forward to experiencing having my own!
I went to bed at 9...didn't watch any fireworks (except for the ones on the news lol). As you all know, I can only play on the internet when I get to work an hour early in the morning...so much apologies for the short and scarce blog entries! Again, not much to report on anyway! I will add new pictures when I get some. In the meantime, here's a good one from the staff retreat in Glenrose earlier this year.

Hello everyone! As the days go by it appears people are using 'myspace' less and less. I'm ok with that! I never have the time like I used to to play on there. :O) So, I decided to jump into this blog thing!
I guess the only thing going on in my life to tell ya'll about is the fact that as of today, my wedding is in exactly 72 days! yay! I'm very very excited! I am so happy that I have great friends in my life that God has brought into it. My bridesmaids are my best friends and I am truly blessed to have them in my life! Isn't it joyous to know that, as Christians, we have so much to look forward to? We will all be together one day in Heaven! I am so happy for so many things.
Lately, I have been thankful to God for the simplist of things. Namely, the fact that I have vision and hearing. For whatever reason...I know that may sound strange but I think I just want to be thankful for things a lot of us may take for granted sometimes. Also the fact that my body is healthy, and I have the ability to exercise. Yea, I just said that! What if I lost the use of my legs? Or arms? I guess my point is we all make choices and exercise may not be "fun" but you know what? I CAN take care of this body of mine and I CHOOSE to do so. I want to live a long and HEALTHY life!
Jon and I start our pre-marital counseling sessions July 14th. They are every Saturday for 6 weeks...I think for an hour each. I am excited about this! If anyone is interested, there is a great book for couples called "His needs, Her needs-building an affair-proof marriage", by Willard F. Harley, Jr. This was such a wonderful book! It was so easy to read, I flew through it in one day. It explains how men and women differ in how they express and recieve love. It's a great read, I highly recommend it!
Thanks to everyone in my life who is, has, or will help me with my wedding!
