All I had to do was be honest with myself and really take a note as to
what all I was eating on a daily basis. I stopped eating two pints of Blue
Bell Rocky Road ice cream every day for lunch and stopped eating the sunflower
seeds every day and all day long! I gave up sodas, cake, junk food and
started eating the correct way. Went back to my Weight Watchers and
watching my portion control. Stopped eating fast food and started eating
grilled chicken and salads with light dressing or fat free.
That is an excerpt from an email my mom sent me. She got motivated earlier this year from a group of people she works with to lose weight, and to do it the right way! Everyone that participated at her job put in some money to be a part of this contest. They kept track of everyone's weight loss, and in the end the results were based on your body fat percentage that was lost. I am so proud of my mom. She looked great at my wedding, no matter how bad she beat herself up about the pictures! As you can see from the picture above, she looks great! She won some cold hard cash from her efforts and got her some new fashionable jeans (some i haven't heard of....i meant to ask Jess...) and then put the rest in the baby J fund! :O) I love my mom very much and this story is another example of how true E=R is! I'm a fan of weight watchers myself, and i'm thankful to thier "points" system for my weight loss. Weight Watchers teaches you how to change your lifestyle habits, so your weight loss will be long term. It may be common sense to a lot of people that if you eat fast food 2-3 times a day, every day.....you won't be as skinny as you'd like. :O) Not until i tracked points did this "click" with me! anyway, i didn't mean to go into a weight watchers commercial. I really posted this blog to give my mom a big round of applause, a pat on the back, a standing O, balloons and confetti, and noisemakers! I really am proud of you mom, you did it!
