Cash and I have been learning together how to feed him. NOT easy!! That has been the most frustrating thing...it took 8 days for my milk to "come in" so i thought Cash was starving. Oh no, the pediatrician said he's gaining too much weight. 2 oz a day since his first dr. visit? that must be a lot in baby terms. hopefully I don't overfeed him and he weighs 10 lbs on monday at his next checkup! I have had several cryfests over this baby. I know the hormones are all wacky right now but dang i didn't know i could cry like this. It's usually happy tears, just looking at my baby and i break down. it's the love i have for him, and these thoughts kinda run through my mind on a tape:
*"i can't believe you were IN me! it was this little foot here that was rolling around on my side!"
and
*"oh look at his little umbilical cord. that's the last evidence of us being connected..." (waaahhhh!)
yeah, stuff like that...
aside from crying, i have felt like a loser that has no clue how to take care of a baby. when do you put diaper rash stuff on? do i use powder? how do i give him a bath? thankfully my sister has been a nanny and knows how to care for newborns. she stayed with me all last sat. i'm ready for the day when i feel more like "me" again, when i feel like putting actual clothing on, and makeup. possibly take some pictures with my child? :O)

Awww! Sweet Misty! I'm sure you're doing a great job and before you know it you'll be back to your old self. :) I can't wait to meet him!! I'm coming in October!!
Sweet baby Cashy Washy!!! He has so many peeps that love him! :)
Miss you...
Hey you are a new mommy! You have to learn just like with anything else. Remember Cash knows no different. Feeding can be very hard on you and your baby. Hang in there. I know I cried many times when it was not working so well. Baby powder dries their little butt up and if they have a rash it will only make it last longer. I've only used it when the smells lingered after the poo is gone. Use the rash cream when that area is redder than normal. Enjoy this age, when it's gone you will want it back! He looks like a very cute boy! Best advice I ever got was to sleep when he sleeps. I always wanted to get stuff done but would pay for it later when I was worn out! Thanks for taking such good care of Audra, she liked seeing your baby pics.
